The show

De Weide (The Meadow) is an interactive performance with live music. Children can move freely in a cosy and safe place and look for surprises.

But wait! What is happening? What's the commotion? It is a lark waking up his bird family while the bees have already started making honey. We hear a lot of buzzing, chirping and chattering. So much needs to be done today; the day is so short. Hurry up, hurry up before night falls!

But the Meadow does not fall asleep at night. Life goes on. At night, beautiful and magical creatures awaken which cannot stand sunlight. Fortunately, the moon gives just enough light to see them.

About Black Cat Theatre

Black Cat Theater is a theatre for children from 1 to 6 years old. The makers let the children enjoy, wonder and laugh by appealing to their imagination and creativity. They do this through (live) music, dance and mime. Little is spoken in the performances, making them suitable for children from different backgrounds. Children are invited to play in the foyer and theatre hall before and after the performance. The interior of the building, the (sustainable) toys, etc., are entirely based on this age group.

Accessibility

The theatre is easily accessible:

- By public transport: the theatre is about 800 meters from Sloterdijk station and 200 meters from bus stop bus 22

- By car: A10 exit S102. There is sufficient parking space. Parking is free on weekends, ten ct/hr on weekdays

- By bike: the theatre is located just behind Westerpark. There is ample opportunity to park the bicycle in front of the door.
