This is a land of stories of religion, joy, and most recently, unspeakable pain. The ongoing genocide has caused immense suffering, the intensity of which has increased over the past year. Yet, amid 75 years of hardship, stories of hope remain, reminding us of the resilience that keeps the spirit of Palestine alive.

Tatreez and Palestinian Identity

Traditional Palestinian embroidery tatreez is over three thousand years old. Known for its colorful, geometric patterns and symbolism, the craft is often passed down through generations and tells stories about identity, culture, and daily life.

Since 1948, Tatreez has become a powerful political symbol of Palestinian identity and a tool of resistance. More than just an art form, Tatreez is a unifying force for the Palestinian diaspora that strives to keep Palestinian culture and traditions alive. Stories from Palestine

This event will feature personal stories and factual insights that will shed light on the enduring strength of a people who, despite unimaginable loss, continue to keep their love and hope alive. The host for the evening will be Sobhi Khatib [MOU1] , a passionate Palestinian storyteller. Ten years ago, he discovered the art of storytelling and found the perfect outlet for his enthusiasm for sharing stories. This discovery gave him the perfect excuse to take the stage and share his stories.
