Pavarotti meets Alberti
True story. Two singers growing up with fathers who taught them a love of music. Their hearts open to the opera and the song of life. A great story.
Pavarotti meets Alberti
Really and truly
True story. Luciano Pavarotti, 1981, Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Opera lover Willy Alberti takes the plunge. He sells Pavarotti's albums in his record store and wants to meet the great tenor in person. And have albums signed. Because then they sell better. But in the dressing room things click better than expected. The two talk, laugh and drink. And they sing their famous hits to each other. And with each other. Pavarotti meets Alberti.
Two singers growing up in poverty. With fathers who teach them the love of music. Their hearts open to the opera and the song of life. A great story. Thijs Borsten and Kiki Jaski provided the script, arrangements and direction. Ad Knippels and Eric Reddet bring the songs to life. Two more than fantastic singers. 'Impressive and credible', writes Operagazet.com. 'Really great,' sighs Willeke Alberti. True story, we say.
