Merel was born in Sweden and grew up in the Netherlands. With self-written texts, songs, and a little dance, she returns to her roots in 'Nep Zweed' (meaning: Fake Swede). Experience a unique night out at Scala | Foodbar & Theater. Scala offers a creative blend of theater and dinner. You can visit up to three performances of 20 minutes in their own theater studio. Every Sunday Scala offers an English program. Before, after or in between the performances you can enjoy delicious food & drinks in the food bar.

You can find the concept of Scala only in Amsterdam. Scala combines food and theater and creates an inviting space for socializing and gathering with friends, or colleagues. The central location between the Jordaan and Westerpark makes that it’s the perfect spot to meet up. It’s in the centre of the city’s cultural heart and strives to make the theater industry more vibrant.

How does it work?

You can book your tickets for Scala | foodbar & theater here. Reserve 2 or 3 performances at the times you prefer. The program differs every Sunday. In the ticketing system you can see which performances play the day you want to visit. When you purchased the tickets the system will automatically reserve a table. On the evening itself the table will be ready for you from 6:00 PM, but you can enter whenever you want. During the night you order from the menu.
