JAH! at Frascati
'JAH!' by choreographer Dalton Jansen is a powerful ode to the black man in a Western world and a profound celebration of fatherhood. 6 performers move through collective traumas in search of inner freedom. Which traumas do you carry over, and which do you let go? And how is this passed on from generation to generation?

Sounds and words
Inspired by personal experiences, historical events and the profound sounds and words of Rastafari messengers such as Alpha Blondy, Bob Marley and Sizzla, Jansen hopes to dismantle stereotypes with JAH!: of the Rastas, dreadlocks, the black man and the black father.
JAH! celebrates the power of music, language and dance and exposes intergenerational traumas. It questions the concepts of love, unity and peace in the present day while delving deeply into the father-son relationship. In a time of polarization and individualism, JAH! celebrates the liberating power of connection and resistance.
