In 'Village Storm' Lunatics & Poets explore the world of desire. Instinctive desires that are anchored in man, but also desires that arise from society and influence us. In our search for individuality, we seem to become more similar to each other. Inspired by the collection 'A Village Life' by Louise Glück and theories by philosopher René Girard, Anna Jacobs and Hanna van der Meer create a cinematic portrait in sensitive and extremely strong dance language about the tension between animal instincts and human individuality. As recognizable as it is confrontational.

Anna Jacobs and Hanna van der Meer are known for their impressive set and costume designs and their cinematic visual language. For Club Invites 2022-23, they previously created the poetic collage performance Postcards from a Better Place.

Barnaby Booth | A Funny Little Show About Endings

Inspired by the happy endings in sitcoms like Friends, Will & Grace and Seinfeld, choreographer Barnaby Booth creates

A Funny Little Show About Ending is a humorous dance performance with a Lynchian twist in which dramatic characters meet their inner motivations.

Booth, a gifted lighting designer in addition to being a choreographer, previously worked with Club Guy & Roni's Poetic Disasters Club for the performance 'Like a Prayer', which was shown at De Parade in 2023. The production was praised by NRC and de Volkskrant, among others, and was even part of the prestigious closing gala of De Parade.

The dancers in these performances are part of the Poetic Disasters Club – the junior company of Club Guy & Roni.
