Britt for President De Warme Winkel

Then there is good news for you: Britt is going to get involved

Unburdened by any administrative knowledge or skill, unchained by suffocating party discipline and completely free of old-fashioned moral principles, this breath of fresh air dives straight in.

Often it seems like The Hague is pulling the strings, and sometimes Brussels, but Britt starts locally: in the cradle of democracy where grand electoral words crash against reality and part-time political talents try to get the most out of the idealistic jug.

Meanwhile, divides are deepening and bubbles are getting stronger, and we stand with our hands in our hair watching how vulnerable our democracy actually is when disruptive forces break the rules of the game.

With this discursive knee-slapper, De Warme Winkel investigates if, and how, to speak with our fact-free fellow human beings. How can we still reach the other when arguments no longer matter and science is also just an opinion?

The title role is performed by Britt Hartog, a self-made woman and an absolute boss, who previously shone at De Warme Winkel in Een oprechte ode aan de Ironie.
