It took a while, but Bitchin Bajas are back. Five years after the official previous full-length, 2017 'Bajas Fresh', the Chicago trio came out with the September 2022 release of 'Bajascillators'. The four hypnotic pieces of this album form the springboard for this show in the Bimhuis, which promises to be an unadulterated Bajas trip.

Opening track Amorpha lets a simple marimba motif blossom into a minimal layered soundscape, in which the Bajas use the legendary Music Mouse software from electronics pioneer Laurie Spiegel. Bouncer Quackenbrück plays with the legacy of acid house. Constants are the sound depth of the analogue synths and the layering of the compositions. In short: Bitchin Bajas.
