Vincent on Friday
The Van Gogh Museum presents a new Vincent on Friday with live music by, among others, the Amsterdam rapper Gotu Jim and a futuristic dance show by the collective Cyborg DNA.
The Van Gogh Museum has been home to the work of Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries for 50 years. A history that we celebrate in this jubilee year. But what should the museum look like in 50 years?
The Beeldbrekers - a group of young adult students and young professionals who use their expertise to make the museum more inclusive - made a road map through the museum. They chose eleven places in the museum and shared their vision of Van Gogh's art, the building and the function of a museum in general. Follow the route, get inspired and share your own ideas at the end.
Music and dance
During this Vincent on Friday, the Van Gogh Museum invites various acts that will give their vision of the future. With Gotu Jim, Club HD and the futuristic performance art of Cyborg DNA, among others, we explore what dance, music and clubbing will look like in the future.
