The Wild West combined with the Dark Ages. With themes such as greed, jealousy, overconfidence, selfishness, stupidity and other very recognizable human qualities. Strange sounds and enchanting music with influences from Texas to Turkey support it. Without text, everyone can understand it.

The actors in this performance are old, rusty and weathered wooden things. Materials that also frequently appear in the visual work of Gérard Schiphorst and Marije van der Sande. The beginning is fairytale-like and dreamy, with an almost prehistoric-looking world on the long sand table. Due to the entrance of a strange thing, the story degenerates into a hilarious medieval arms race. A duel fought with all legal and illegal means by a brutal Tang and a tenacious Mole Clamp.

To Have Or Not To Have is a crossover between visual art and theatre, which has already been seen in Belgium, Brazil, Austria, Germany, England, Egypt, France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Norway, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland and the Netherlands of course.

From April 3 to 7, Plein Theater and Cat Smits Company present the Queering Puppets Festival in Amsterdam!

Since 2022, Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam has offered a stage for genre-transcending forms of visual theatre, object theatre, puppetry and queer perspectives. In the safe space that puppetry creates, everyone can be whoever he, she, them wants. Plein Theater and Cat Smits Company defy the norm with this festival full of colourful visual excesses. Queering Puppets is LGBTIQA+ friendly, feminist, activist and above all, beautiful in its stubbornness! In this third edition, the theme is Weapons of the Weak.
