Mini-folk festival
A mini-folk festival featuring roots music, rooted in Irish and bluegrass music traditions. Three fantastic bands will be performing: the headliner is Irish musician Kieran O'Connell, who and his band will perform original work, along with traditional Irish songs and instrumental pieces.
Kieran grew up in County Clare, a county on the west coast of Ireland where traditional Irish music is very much alive, and so it was instilled in him from an early age. Kieran is a superb singer who performs his songs with great feeling, and his arrangements are notable for their contemporary approach that simultaneously honors the ancient roots of his repertoire.
Job Alone & Friends
The second band of the evening is Job Alone & Friends, a musician and singer from Landsmeer who, along with his friends, also has Irish music as a base but gives it a unique twist through influences from Americana and a Dutch twist, both in covers, original work and instrumentals.
Hillback Harvest
Hillback Harvest is the latest band, a new one from Amersfoort. They play English and Dutch bluegrass and country, delivered with laughter and tears.
