Biodiversity on your plate

During the ToekomstTiendaagse (Future Fest), restaurants and cafés in Amsterdam show how you can contribute to a healthy environment with food. They cook with products from their own garden or local farmers. Think of seasonal vegetables, flowers, legumes and ingredients that are good for bees, butterflies and other animals.

This is not only good for the landscape but also for our future. Because without biodiversity, plants cannot grow, soils become depleted, and there are more diseases. Healthy food starts with a healthy nature.

Double birthday party at Pampus

On Forteiland Pampus, there is a double celebration: the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam and the 125th anniversary of the island. During the ToekomstTiendaagse, you can taste dishes from the soil at home, such as beans and vegetables from the vegetable garden. There is also an audio tour about the history of food on the island and what you can pick there now.

Join us at the Oranjerie and Van der Valk

In the Oranjerie , the café of the Hortus Botanicus, a special dish is on the menu that fits 750 years of Amsterdam and is good for nature. Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam Amstel is also participating. During the ToekomstTiendaagse, the chefs will serve a sustainable dish with an Amsterdam twist.
