Flowers love people and vice versa
If you love flowers, you should not miss the Aalsmeer Flower Festival. The AFF shows flowers in beautiful arrangements, in surprising works of art and at special locations. You can indulge in floral art, see floral designers at work and enjoy beautiful exhibitions and music, but also roll up your sleeves during all kinds of mini workshops.
Led by the chief arrangers Tineke Geerlings, Marloes Joore and Jacqueline Boerma, you can see how flower design is made. You can visit the Historical Garden , the Flower Art Museum and the Boerma Institute . To find out more about the entire program and the different opening times, visit the website for all the information.
Saturday and Sunday these locations will be buzzing with activity. Artists and flower designers give creative workshops for children and adults and there is live music by Nina Lynn and Davanti.
There is a flower and plant auction at the Historic Garden on Sunday at 2 p.m. If you prefer to view the flower arrangements and the exhibitions in peace, visit these locations on Friday, Monday or Tuesday.
As a visitor you pay the usual entrance fee for the museums and the Boerma Institute is free to visit. Whoever puts a bouquet in a vase will not always realize how versatile flowers and plants are used. The AFF shows this variation, with the help of numerous professionals. Let yourself be enchanted! Stay tuned and follow us on Facebook.
