Get even closer to the artist
You hardly get closer to an artist than through his drawings. Unlike paintings and etchings, drawings tell even more about the working method. You can follow the artist's hand along the drawing lines - whether it's a quick sketch or a meticulously crafted piece of art.
The exhibition The Art of Drawing in Rembrandt House Museum is divided into seven chapters, which together answer the central question: 'Why did a 17th-century artist make drawings?' In the new third exhibition hall, the museum organizes drawing workshops using 17th-century techniques and materials.
