I Love Illustration Gallery Amsterdam proudly announces the new solo exhibition of Amsterdam artist Ravian Derrière (1991). Ravian is known for his provocative and humorous murals and paintings, in which he combines buttocks and cartoonish elements. For this show he creates an exclusive collection of works in which haute couture meets everyday brands such as Prada and Zeeman, to celebrate the start of the international fashion month!

About the exhibition:

Especially for this solo exhibition, Ravian Derrière creates a unique collection of works that blur the boundaries between couture and art. He explores the contradictions in the fashion world by mixing haute couture with cheap brands. This tension between luxury and affordability, combined with his distinctive style, unique color palette and bold black contours, produces controversial and aesthetic images.

The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Saturday in the I Love Illustration Gallery Amsterdam throughout the month of September. The gallery is open from Thursday to Saturday from 12:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday by appointment, admission is free. Visitors are invited to discover Ravian's special collection and be inspired by his unique vision on fashion.

Ravian Derriere:

Ravian van Beele (1991), known by his stage name Ravian Derrière, is an artist from Amsterdam with a background in the graffiti world. He gained fame with his challenging murals in Zuidoost, where he grew up. His artistic journey began at the age of twelve, inspired by his father, who is also a painter. Ravian's work, influenced by 1950s pop art, is characterized by a unique color palette of soft pastel shades and bold black contours. He is known for his controversial works of art, in which he often combines buttocks with cartoonish elements. Ravian's style combines sensuality with humor and constantly explores artistic boundaries. His work challenges the viewer, stimulates the senses and shows a deep appreciation for the beauty of the female body.
