The art book project in mental health care in The Hague

In 2020, Parnassia chairman Stephan Valk kicked off an art book project in mental health care (GGZ). Under the inspiring guidance of artist and Reakt employee Anthony Blokdijk, eleven books featuring painters, drawers, poets, writers, photographers, and other multi-talented individuals with a mental health background have been published under the umbrella of the fictional bookstore Maldoracca - an art initiative by Ibrahim R. Ineke and Anthony Blokdijk. Three more books are set to be released in the coming months.

From Saturday, December 16, 2023, to Saturday, March 2, 2024, the Outsider Art Gallery in H'ART Museum will present the books and autonomous works of the fourteen involved artists in the exhibition 'Je tikt er tegen en het zingt' (You tap it, and it sings).
