Piet Paris - Illustrations, Glass Art, Fashion
In the exhibition, fashion illustrator Piet Paris reflects on the unique glass art collection of Museum JAN and places his drawings in dialogue with fashion designs by leading Dutch fashion designers such as Viktor & Rolf, Claes Iversen and BENCHELLAL. But what do glass art, drawings and fashion have in common? Piet Paris dissects the designs and brings them back to different core values, including line, shape, colour, but also ''the soul'.

Piet Paris
Pieter 't Hoen (1962), alias Piet Paris, is known for his illustrations with characteristic lines, bright colours and female figures with slender silhouettes. In addition to drawing haute couture catwalk looks, with which he appears in major fashion magazines such as Vogue and Elle, Piet Paris is intertwined with the national and international fashion world.
As a curator, Piet Paris puts together exhibitions, catwalk sets and shop displays, among other things. Compositions and colour combinations play an essential role in this, as does his fascination for 'aesthetics' and 'displaying'. Especially for the exhibition, Piet Paris is making new drawings that unite fashion pieces and glass art in a unique and fascinating new way.
