From 4 to 6 October 2024, the artist collective Open Oost is hosting an open studio route and central exhibition at the Plantage Dokzaal in Amsterdam Centrum-Oost. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Open Oost, celebrating a quarter-century of open studios on the Eastern Islands, Kadijken, and Entrepotdok.
Cultural Event
Over three days, visitors can explore a central exhibition and various open studios, featuring over 30 artists displaying a range of works, including paintings, ceramics, textiles, sculptures, and photography. There will also be musical performances and workshops. Most artworks are available for purchase, and artists’ portfolios can be viewed at openoost.org.
Purpose
Open Oost aims to connect visitors directly with artists in their workspaces, fostering social cohesion and increasing visibility for their work. This event offers artists a platform to showcase and sell their art.
