INHEEMSE DROMEN II Soevereiniteit
What is your indigenous dream? And where can you dream in a country where people assume that you only existed in the past and far away? These two questions guide the photo exhibition Indigenous Dreams. Each portrait shows the interaction of an Indigenous dreamer living in the Netherlands in a place or activity when they can dream. Next to each portrait is a QR code that allows you to learn more about the dreamer's story. The exhibition launched in 2022 with nine portraits and interviews focused on Indigenous women. This year, six new portraits and interviews have been created with a focus on sovereignty; What does sovereignty mean for Indigenous people?
