Visual artist and designer Sonja Cabalt is fascinated by growth and breakdown processes, in which the vulnerability of man and nature is central. Through experiments with unusual materials and techniques, she is often guided by 'coincidental' discoveries that she uses in her work. Characteristic here is a tactile approach, playing with texture and organic forms. Through the coexistence of attraction and repulsion, her work evokes both positive and negative emotions and invites visitors to investigate their own relationship with vulnerability and transformation.
