Women’s Words: Folk Songs and the Female Voice in Slovakia and Britain
A combination of folk songs from Slovakia and the United Kingdom, viewed through the lens of female figures in folk culture. The music and poems are all written from the perspective of women, who often sing about the simple yet profound, sad yet beautiful aspects of life: love, nature, loneliness, and human connection.
