Winter Bubble - live music in Café Belcampo
The month of January is nobody's favourite... So get off that couch to celebrate the new year together and enjoy great, swinging, and beautiful live music from Carly E & The Outstanding and the Malembe Trio! Where? Café Belcampo.
Carly E & The Outstanding
Carly E (Carlijn van Wijk) plays the cello and has been singing since childhood. When she moved to London and Argentina, she said goodbye to her classical music career and became a solo artist. She has conquered many stages with her cello pop numbers, such as the DeLaMar Theater and TedX. Her music is reminiscent of Carol Emerald and Andrew Bird: Folk-pop music with original lyrics and a subtle groove.
Malembe trio
The musical concept of the Malembe trio is based on the Afro-Latin influences in music culture. They play music from all Latin American countries, such as Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Perú, Cuba, etc. The performance becomes a real carnival of well-known melodies.
Through the winter bubble
Stichting Hallo-Buren/ 50-50podium organizes two musical evenings together with Mermaid Radio, Carly E and Malembe Trio. The evenings have been conceived as part of a package that consists of an introduction, a live and online concert, concluded with a conversation. Afterwards, you can enjoy a drink at the bar!
The theme of the conversation after the concert is the insights you gained during the gas crisis this winter. After the concert, people are paired with someone they don't know for fifteen minutes and are given specific questions that they can answer together. This allows everyone to share their experience.
In this way, Hallo Buren/5050 stage would like to help people to "find each other again" in the neighbourhood! The proceeds of this evening will be shared on the Hallo-Buren website and Facebook page.
