Schubert and his fascinating journey to the limitless
Schubert's last three sonatas are rightly sometimes regarded as a trilogy. After all, Schubert composed these three masterpieces in quick succession in his last year of life (1828). Together, these special works provide a penetrating and comprehensive picture of the richness of his last creative period.

Willem Brons
Willem Brons, the éminence grise of Dutch pianists, still performs frequently. Brons is an important interpreter of the music of Bach, Beethoven and Schubert, although his repertoire has never been limited to this. He is also an ambassador for the historical instrument.
In 2021 Willem Brons said goodbye to the Conservatorium van Amsterdam as a beloved teacher, where he has taught piano, chamber music and song accompaniment since 1968.
In 2003 Willem Brons received the royal decoration: Officer in the Order of Oranje Nassau. In 2018, Willem Brons was awarded the Andreas medal from the city of Amsterdam.
