Festive Christmas atmosphere

The repertoire varies from jazz and barbershop to cabaret, light classical pieces, pop music and folk music. In addition, some classical works by composers such as Britten, Howells and Diepenbrock are also on the program. Of course, the traditional Christmas carols are not missing in this Carols program, where - as has become a tradition at BrinCQ - the audience can actively sing along. About Nexus

Nexus is a vocal ensemble of 20 singers from the Amsterdam Gay Men's Chorus (AMSGMC), the largest LGBTQ+ choir in the Netherlands. The name Nexus means 'connection center' or 'focal point'; it is a place where AMSGMC singers can improve their singing skills in both small and solo ensembles, and where a greater diversity of repertoire is sung, including a capella music. The Nexus is a permanent part of the large performances of AMSGMC and increasingly performs independently.

About BrinCQ

The quartet consists of soprano Charlotte Houberg, mezzo-soprano Karin Brunt, tenor Joost van Velzen and baritone Nathan Tax. Professional singers with a great passion for classical music and singing. And that name? Every Goois village has a brink, the central place where people meet. So does Bussum, their shared hometown! And perhaps even more fun or at least more appropriate… in Spanish 'brincar' also means 'playful' or 'uninhibited movement'. Let that be exactly what this quartet is looking for in music: to meet each other in the neighborhood and make music together playfully and uninhibitedly! The quartet and the Nexus are accompanied on the grand piano by the unsurpassed Lineke Lever.
