Vloeimans, Azmeh & van Vliet: Blow The Wind Easterly - The Concertgebouw
Clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, trumpeter Eric Vloeimans and pianist Jeroen van Vliet previously successfully travelled through the country with their performance Levanter. The 'three brothers in music' take you on a magical flight to distant horizons and the all-embracing sea at The Concertgebouw.
Kinan Azmeh, Eric Vloeimans and Jeroen van Vliet
Once upon a time... a top clarinettist from Damascus named Kinan Azmeh was given the opportunity in 2012 by the Europe Cultural Foundation to invite one musician for a special project in Amsterdam. Kinan invited our top trumpeter, Eric Vloeimans, who has been fascinated by oriental sounds for a long time. The musical acquaintance clicked immediately as if they had known each other for centuries. Both wanted more, and pianist Jeroen van Vliet followed their tour through the Netherlands. The Levanter program was a resounding success that is still resonated with many. The synergy between the musicians turned out to be so strong that a new collaboration was inevitable.
Brand new repertoire
The three musicians of Levanter now come with brand new repertoire. Once again, they take you on a magical flight to distant horizons and the endless, all-embracing sea. You think you know them, yet it turns out to be a magical surprise.
