Thomas Beijer: pianist and composer Meccore String Quartet & Thomas Beijer
'An uomo universale of today'. That is how the committee of the Dutch Music Prize called Thomas Beijer in 2022 when awarding this highest state distinction in music. Thomas Beijer is a pianist, composer, arranger, illustrator, animator and writer. A new string quartet by him for the Meccore String Quartet. He himself takes a seat behind the piano to play the following pieces for piano quintets by the 19th-century composers Johannes Brahms and Julius Zarębski. Come and listen in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
