The Sisters of Mercy + support The Virginmarys
The Sisters of Mercy borrows its name from Leonard Cohen's song of the same name, but that's where the comparison with the deceased singer ends. The English band has been a determining factor in the new wave scene since the early 1980s.

Drum computer
At the time, the band was one of the first to make frequent use of a drum computer, which was given the name Doktor Avalanche. The most recent album 'Vision Thing' dates from 1992, but still sounds timeless. In 2023, frontman Andrew Eldritch is the only remaining original band member. Doktor Avalanche, which could only produce four sounds when it was introduced, has been exchanged for a more modern one with more possibilities. Concerts are as impressive as ever and with classics like 'Temple Of Love' and 'This Corrosion' and 'More' The Sisters Of Mercy more than live up to their cult status.
