The Erard
The sound of this TenClub Érard from 1892, restored with great precision and love, is original and unparalleled. The music, as Henry Kelder will make it sound from the Érard, is as the composers once intended it to be. After all, the 'timeless' pieces were not created on such an instrument alone. Still, all the greats of classical music played on an Érard grand piano: Chopin, Mendelssohn, Verdi, Liszt, Ravel, Fauré, Wagner, Debussy and Diepenbrock, among others - to name a few.
About Henry Kelder
Henry Kelder works as a pianist, composer, conductor, chamber musician, improviser, répétiteur, cultural entrepreneur and conservatory teacher. He is known for his versatility in genres and can, therefore, be heard in many compositions and as a soloist and accompanist. His breadth forms his identity as a musician. During the past Corona lockdowns, he posted a surprising piano piece almost daily on Facebook and YouTube by unknown composers or unknown gems by well-known composers. It has been very successfully taken up worldwide, with many world premieres and invitations as a result.
Henry Kelder wrote many piano pieces, two symphonic conatas, orchestral music, choral music, musical theatre pieces, songs and chamber music. He tours the United States, Europe and China several times yearly to give masterclasses and concerts. Recently, in addition to his solo double album Clarity in Depth 1&2, the album ZBOP! by Duo Lind´n Kelder (with saxophonist Johan van der Linden). The compositions 'Isle of Arran' and 'Song For You' from those albums can now be heard regularly on NPO Radio 4.
Henry will play his program 'Clarity in Depth', with music from the Romantic era, improvisational work, contemporary work, never before performed music by Dutch composers and many compositions by Henry Kelder himself.
