The Damned
English punk rock band The Damned, along with bands like the Sex Pistols and The Clash, led the British punk movement in the 1970s. They were even the first UK punk band to release a single, 'New Rose'. Their fast punk rock is often cited as a major influence on the rise of hardcore punk in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
