About Klára Würtz

The critic Robert Cummings called Klára Würtz (1965) one of “the most important pianists of the last decades of the 20th century”. Her performances are characterized by her “light but strong touch, smooth but sensitive technique and rare ability to strike a balance between graceful and soulful” (James Leonard for All Music). Würtz recorded more than forty albums with works by composers such as Mozart, Bartók, Kodály, Janácek, Liszt, Chopin and Debussy. Her recording of Mozart's complete piano sonatas was praised by Harris Goldsmith in International Record Review: “Sensational!
