Sweet (dis) Harmony
Lelikoor and the English Paragon Singers
Harmony and disharmony is the theme of the musical collaboration between the Lelikoor from Amsterdam and Paragon Singers from Bath, with music from the Renaissance up to and including the 21st century.
8 mini-choirs of 5 voices
Where the musical harmonies become sweet when the disharmony is resolved, and the emotional strife is resolved when the conversation between two lovers has taken place, or the lack of a lover leads to a wavering rhythm, or where two choirs working together sing of perfect harmony in the afterlife, or when they are divided among 40 voices: the sturdy harmonious and ingenious edifice of Spem in alium of Tallis leads to awe and delight…
Witness 8 mini-choirs of 5 voices, and be presented with a unique, spatial sound experience from Thomas Tallis' magnum opus. In addition, work by contemporaries and living composers. If you want to see the whole program, check the website.
