When he is not playing the violin, he likes to read a book. His favorite composer is Mozart and if he were not a violinist, he might have become a mathematician. If he could go back in time, he would have liked to meet Albert Einstein. Violinist Stephen Waarts is one of the stars in the series Young Dutchmen. In his program Nature, he places composers from five different countries next to each other, each with their own unique tonal language. The 'visual poetry' of the artist collective Beeldjutters accompanies the musical story that Waarts and pianist Martin Klett tell.

The series Young Dutchmen presents home-grown talent. The musicians, who will be appearing in the Small Hall, will perform works that are close to their hearts, notes that challenge not only the players but also the ears of the listeners.
