Chances are you know Sophie Straat from her energetic live performances. Over the past four years, she has toured the country with sold-out club tours and has played at festivals from Into The Great Wide Open to Best Kept Secret and from Wildeburg to Lowlands.

And then of course there is Sophie Straat's Protestfest: a celebration of protest and activism, two years in a row in a completely sold-out Paradiso. Wherever she goes, Sophie Straat impresses with protest music that ranges from tearjerkers to pop hits to punk. But no matter the genre; always with the message first and social problems as a theme.

Sophie Straat is making Punk & Plush especially for Het Concertgebouw. She says: 'I've always been bad at making choices. An ex once said to me: you can't always have everything. I thought that was shitty advice and I decided that I could.
