Quatuor Mosaiques

Quatuor Mosaïques has been around for over thirty-five years and can draw on a rich past. The Austrian quartet carries a special memory of Beethoven's playing. One summer evening the musicians rehearsed an early Beethoven quartet.

A butterfly flew into the room through the open window and sat on the first violinist's part. “During the entire slow movement, that butterfly was listening to us,” cellist Christophe Coin recalls. 'It was as if the ghost of Beethoven visited us.' If you want to attend this concert, buy your tickets via the ticket link .

Beethoven

The string quartets occupy key positions in Beethoven's list of works. The six quartets opus 18 continue the line of Haydn and Mozart, the late string quartets, including opus 132, offer new vistas. The intermediate quartets are indispensable links in order to experience Beethoven's development. Opus 95, the Serioso quartet , convincingly portrays the overlap of the classical period and early romanticism.
