About Paolo Fresu & Rembrandt Trio
The combination of a typical Dutch stubbornness and a deep Italian sense of drama and aesthetics has already resulted in beautiful music. Italian trumpeter Paolo Fresu has been at the top of European jazz for decades. He is praised for his lyrical style reminiscent of Miles Davis' glory years. He worked with big names such as Carla Bley, Stefano Bollani, Ralph Towner, Richard Galliano and Omar Sosa. He has also earned his spurs as a band leader and initiator of festivals. The Rembrandt Trio has been internationally known for sixteen years for their constant artistic curiosity. In addition to classical, Arabic and Persian musicians, the trio regularly shares the stage with renowned players from international jazz. The collaboration with Paolo Fresu has developed into an adventurous friendship.
