Tristan Keuris Saxophone Quartet
The quartet is named after the Dutch composer Tristan Keuris (1946-1996) and was founded in Amsterdam in 2013. The aim of the quartet is to introduce new music to a wider audience.
The Keuris Quartet won 1st prize at the Strasbourg International Saxophone Quartet Competition and 2nd prize at the prestigious M-Prize International Chamber Arts Competition in Ann-Arbor, MI (USA).
Since 2016, the Keuris Quartet regularly gives workshops and concerts during the Gaudeamus Music Week (Utrecht). Their repertoire includes works by influential composers such as Thierry Tidrow, Christian Lauba and Alexey Retinsky.
