About Nils Petter Molvær
A mix of jazz and live electronics is the most normal thing in the world today. This is partly thanks to Norwegian great Nils Petter Molvær. The trumpeter made his breakthrough in the late 1990s with his album 'Khmer', on which he brought jazz and live electronics together in a way that had never been done before. A successful career with worldwide appreciation for his beautiful trumpet sound and 'jazz of the future' followed, with his latest album 'Stitches' (2021) as the most recent example. Molvær shows in his characteristic way that jazz moves with the times and continues to develop at all times. As part of the Amsterdam Dance Event, he gives a rare solo performance in our hall.
