Music lessons Toddlers - mini course (2+)
On Wednesday mornings, the Splendor building at Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 116 turns into a musical learning environment for young children.
Playful manner
Iris Oltheten gives music lessons to children from the age of 2. She uses a method of creative music making; children are stimulated in a playful manner to make music themselves, to compose, and to perform. The children are also encouraged to sing songs.
Making music is very healthy for young children. Listening, moving, working together, using their imaginations, taking initiative, making rhythms together, singing… Young children develop their motor skills, cognitive skills and emotions through music lessons. The children get the opportunity to play instruments themselves and occasionally to listen to the professional ensembles who rehearse in Splendor.
These lessons are intended for children 2 and 3 years of age, accompanied by a (grand-) parent.
