About Mt. Joy
Indie rock group Mt. Joy was formed in 2016 by high school friends Matt Quinn and Sam Cooper who both moved from Philadelphia to LA. They released their first single, 'Astrovan', with the help of bassist Michael Byrnes who they met through Craiglist. After the success of their first single, the band expanded to five members and launched their debut album in 2018, also called 'Mt. Joy'. In recent years, the quintet has performed at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, and has toured with The Lumineers and Rainbow Kitten Surp, among others.
