Crooks & Lovers
The British Mount Kimbie makes groundbreaking electronic indie. Producers Dominic Maker and Kai Campos lead the band and broke through in 2010 with their debut album 'Crooks & Lovers'. The album is still praised by Pitchfork, among others, as one of the best albums of that decade.
Mount Kimbie is known for its quiet, melancholic electronic sound that extensively uses acoustic instruments and samples. The band draws inspiration from genres such as post-dubstep, future garage, shoegaze, post-punk, jazz and '00s hip-hop. The band's most successful album, 'Love What Survives', was released in 2017 and includes collaborations with James Blake and King Krule. Mount Kimbie recently released their new track 'Dumb Guitar' via Warp Records.
