Neo soul

MMYYKK is considered one of the new leaders in neo-soul. His mellow songs are reminiscent of D'Angelo, but in a futuristic setting, and he draws influences from the funk of artists like Thundercat and Flying Lotus, and the style of Anderson .Paak and Stevie Wonder. His latest album, The Midst of Things , deals with important themes such as societal expectations, technology, globalization and the experiences of the black community.
