Like his father and grandmother, Bouchkov made his name by reaching the finals of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. Debargue is known, among other things, for his collaboration with Janine Jansen and is also active as a composer. "Lucas Debargue is a gifted pianist with a rich palette of musical resources, a seemingly inexhaustible technique, and a fearsome ability to concentrate," according to Gramophone Magazine.
