Swinging and tasteful

In the classical jazz piano trio, Timothy Banchet works extremely swinging and tastefully with his own pieces and compositions by the greats. To the audience's delight, Timothy previously played in the Roode Bioscoop duo with Han Bennink. History and the here and now do not often come together as beautifully as when Banchet sits behind the piano. He brings a very well-trained rhythm section with Yoran Vroom and Cas Jiskoot: as a trio, they have performed many late nights in De Kring on Leidseplein.

Festive adventurous repertoire

LOOT is the quartet of Oscar Jan Hoogland, who recently performed on our stage with Mother Tongue and the ICP Orchestra). He wrote a festive, adventurous repertoire for LOOT that turns the piano inside out. Fans of Thelonious Monk will definitely get their money's worth. He chose not the least to give him a musical response. May I introduce you to Onno Govaert on the drums, Uldis Vitols on the double bass and the unsurpassed Ab Baars, who makes his tenor saxophone sound like marble and his clarinet like velvet.
