Ligeti en Feldman SWR Vokalensemble + Bas Wiegers

Rothko Chapel for choir, viola, celesta and percussion is a tribute by Feldman to artist Mark Rothko, with whom he was a close friend. The work is named after the chapel in Houston where Rothkos dark-colored works hang. Just as the apparently monochrome paintings surround the visitor, Feldmans music draws the listener into a world of silence and contemplation.
