Lenny Kuhr
Since Lenny Kuhr won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 at the age of 19 with De Troubadour, she has become an integral part of Dutch music history. With her recognizable voice, her melody lines that revolve like a carousel and her guitar, Lenny Kuhr has created a very own and instantly recognizable genre. Listening songs in the best sense of the word.
New album
'I felt carried by the music,' says Kuhr about her 33rd album. Lenny Kuhr is overflowing with vitality: eleven strong and varied songs, sung with the still very pure voice of La Kuhr, arranged with great feeling by Reyer Zwart and recorded in three wonderful weeks with Frans Hagenaars, Excelsior's house producer. For example, at the beginning of 2022, one of the icons of the Dutch song will release such an overwhelming record that Lenny Kuhr can just end up back in the spotlight. Much to her own happy surprise. "I can sing poppy too, apparently."
