Latanya Alberto is a young multidisciplinary artist. Her music is influenced by a wide range of different musical genres and other art forms. By combining these, she is able to tell her story - a story that needs to be heard. She uses her music to convey messages about social injustice, feminism and cultural awareness. But she also writes and sings about romantic, emotional, spiritual and personal experiences. Whatever the subject, her meaningful lyrics are always of a poetic beauty. As you would expect from Latanya, she blends her musical stories with visual expressions to create a total experience. Her extraordinary visuals, photography and music videos are a natural extension of her identity as a creative artist.

Ruminate, The Royal Escape and more

Latanya started making music at a young age. Her debut EP Ruminate was released in 2019, on which she immediately showed her recognizable sound: soulful, mellow, with poetic lyrics. Her third EP The Royal Escape was released in 2021 and marked the start of her collaboration with her band. Which now allows her to do what she loves most: performing live. Latanya Alberto lives in Amsterdam South-East and talked about her connection with the city of Amsterdam: 'I love the city. Here I am surrounded by creative people and musicians. The music I make lives more abroad - jazz and soul are huge in London, Paris or New York - but here in Amsterdam there is also a small scene of musicians that I can visit, to form our own little island.' After three EPs, it is now time for her debut album.
