Choir project Opus

Opus 11 of Choir Project Opus is entirely devoted to composer Rebecca Dale. The program includes the Dutch premieres of Materna Requiem and When Music Sounds . She also wrote a commissioned composition for choir, orchestra and cello especially for Opus: Night Seasons . Visual artist Tryntje Nauta was inspired by the music and made a photo series. Composer Rebecca Dale

Young British composer Rebecca Dale made history by becoming the first female composer to be signed to the Universal Music Decca Classics label in 2018. Rebecca Dale has composed for dozens of classical artists and ensembles, including the London Mozart Players and the Scottish Festival Orchestra. Her cinematic compositions are ideal for the silver screen and she has written music for various films and has collaborated with 20th Century Fox and Disney, among others. Her music for the movie Crossing the Line was nominated for the international Music & Sound Awards. Especially for this premiere, the young composer herself will be present to take you, the audience, into the story behind her work.

Orchestra, choir and conductor

Conductor Arnaud Oosterbaan, the Opus 11 choir and the Dale Movie Orchestra will perform the music of Rebecca Dale together with the soloists. They previously played the stars of the (Wadden) sky together during the Wadopera in September 2021. Now they shine again with a compelling cast, including sopranos Channa Malkin and An de Winter and tenor Leon van Liere. The famous Maarschalkerweerd organ completes the cinematic sounds.
