Today the young cellist Laura van der Heijden, who plays her favorite pieces with pianist Jâms Coleman. Dutch will be spoken during this Klapstuk. This concert is part of the seasonal theme Hemelbestormers in which the up-and-coming generation of top musicians is central.

At the age of fifteen, cellist Laura van der Heijden won the BBC Young Musician Competition. Since then she has been unstoppable. She won an Edison and plays from Los Angeles to Finland. She often does this together with Jâms Coleman, a young pianist from Wales. Today they play beautiful pieces by Debussy and Schumann, as well as the recently rediscovered composer Florence Price.
