The American guitarist, singer and songwriter Kenny Wayne Shepherd can now be classified among the veterans of blues rock. He was only 18 years old when he released his debut album Ledbetter Heights (1995), which was followed by his career-defining second album, Trouble Is... in 1997. A record that will be out for 25 years in 2023. Especially for that occasion, Kenny Wayne Shepherd comes with a new version of the record, but more importantly, he also comes to Melkweg for a performance.

Since he first took a guitar in his hands at the age of seven, he has not let go and worked himself up to one of the best (blues) rock guitarists in the world. With a style inspired by icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Slash and Stevie Ray Vaughan, he has built up a huge live reputation.
With which he also shared the stage with greats such as Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd and with Stevie Ray Vaughan's former backing band Double Trouble. In addition, Shepherd has sold millions of albums and received multiple Grammy nominations!
