José James presents 1978
Vocalist José James, born in Minneapolis but residing in Amsterdam, creates a warm and contemporary mix of jazz, hip-hop, R&B and soul. He broke through in 2008 with his critically acclaimed debut album 'The Dreamer', released through Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings. A glittering career followed: he released twelve genre-transcending albums, including through the iconic jazz label Blue Note and recently through his own record label Rainbow Blonde Records, won an Edison and collaborated with artists such as Flying Lotus.
